3 Tips to Network Smarter for Photographers

FEBRUARY 13, 2020

Should you be spending your time and energy going to community events and doing in-person networking?

YES. YES YOU SHOULD.

If you want to be seen as one of the prominent photographers in your area, you need to act like one. It's easy to think, "I'm not going to that event because I could be spending my time better doing something else."

But if you truly SHOW UP at that event ready to network and follow up with everyone you meet, your time will back as valuable financial compensation in some way or another. TRUST ME.

This week I'm going to be sharing 3 tips to being better at networking as a photographer.

1. Find local Facebook groups and go to their events. Whatever photography you specialize in, there's a group out there for you.

2. Meet up with people you follow on Instagram. Have coffee with other photographers!

3. Always follow up with everyone you meet. Whether it's a text message or email, send them something to keep the connection alive.

It can be scary at first. You got this!! Just be friendly, build connections, and follow up with each person you meet.
